At the age of 94, Aimee Madeline Wriggins Richmond has had a
rich and full life. Born in Newark, New Jersey on February 22, 1923, times were much
different for women. Women were expected to take care of the homefront, and
raise babies; their labs, careers and projects were expected to revolve around
the home environment. Not for Aimee, she has led a vibrant life and was
destined to enrich others’ lives through her education, strong ethics of work, serving
and volunteering that has been recognized by many.
Aimee, being born to a Reverend and graduate of Yale University with a Masters Degree, and dedicated
